TIMOR LESTE LAKLO
A riot of fruit flavours and aromas, with a nose of strawberry and tropical fruit, and watermelon, cherry, and toffee apple in the cup. Timor Leste Laklo is a naturally processed gem from one of Australia’s nearest neighbours. It’s sweet and drinkable, with medium body, green apple acidity and a bright, clean and crisp finish.
COFFEE ORIGIN
Timor Leste Laklo comes from the mountains of the Alieu, on the north-side of the main island. These steep slopes are farmed by 542 smallholders who each nurture their coffee plants in the shade of the local casuarina trees, each tending to a lot about half a hectare in size. The lots of each smallholder are combined and sun dried, a process which brings the sweet fruit flavours to the fore.

BREW GUIDE
Red fruit flavours are great in a pourover so try the lighter roast version of Timor Leste Laklo through your V60 or chemex. With a gentle pour and some patience you’ll be able to coax the melon flavours forward and bring some silkiness to the medium body.
Darker roasts deliver on the toffee apple sweetness in spades, and in an espresso coffee you’re trading the delicacy for that notes for extra cherry and apple. Out of all the fruit flavours, these are two of the best to pair with milk, so latte drinkers are well served by the Laklo natural.
