To celebrate this holiday season, we’ve bought back our best-selling limited-edition Summer Blend, inspired by our idyllic Australian coastline. 

Whether enjoyed in your morning espresso, on ice by the pool, or gifted to the coffee lover in your life, this blend will awaken your senses to golden shores, cicada songs, and the relaxing possibilities of summer.

Summer Blend Origin & Tasting Profile

Our Summer Blend is a carefully crafted journey across the globe, starting with Colombian coffee, known for its vibrant richness and indulgent cocoa undertones. To this, we add the nutty, mellow tones of Brazilian beans, along with the bright and complex flavours of Papua New Guinean coffees.

Summer Blend is a bright, smooth coffee designed to lift your day. We’ve sourced premium 100% Arabica beans from high-altitude plantations in Kenya and Colombia, chosen for their natural sweetness and lively character.

Kenyan beans bring a vibrant, juicy profile with subtle berry notes and a full, satisfying body. Colombian Caturra beans add gentle caramel undertones, fragrant aromas, and a smooth, mellow finish. Together, they create a balanced cup with a fresh, approachable flavour.

Brewing tips for the perfect cup of Summer Blend

Summer Blend is versatile and adapts well to a variety of brewing methods:

  • Home Coffee Machine: Use a medium grind and a slightly lower temperature setting if possible to highlight the coffee’s natural sweetness and aromatic notes.
  • Plunger or French Press: Yields a rich, velvety coffee with soft, sweet highlights.
  • Filter or Pourover (AeroPress, V60): Brings forward the bright, aromatic notes while allowing you to fine-tune strength.
  • Cold Brew: Extracts refreshing, lightly sweet flavours, perfect for warm days.
  • Stovetop brewing: Produces a concentrated, smooth coffee with gentle caramel undertones.

No matter how you brew it, Summer Blend delivers a lively, satisfying cup that’s easy to enjoy anytime, hot or cold.

PLUNGER (coarse grind: 6.2)
Plunger (or French Press) and other similar immersion brew devices, which involved the ground coffee having contact with the water for an extended time. A coarse grind is most effective.

AEROPRESS & FILTER (medium grind: 5.7)
This category includes a range of brew devices that use filters (paper or reusable). Devices include the AeroPress, & AeroPressGo, the Hario V60, Chemex & Fretta, the MoccaMaster and other cone-filtered methods where water is poured over ground coffee. A medium grind is recommended.

STOVETOP (medium/fine grind: 5.1)
Also known as Moka pot, a stovetop to produces a strong, concentrated coffee, and is best with medium/fine grind is best for this brew device.

HOME ESPRESSO MACHINE (fine grind: 4.7)
This category includes simple home espresso machines. For example:

    This slightly finer grind of 4.5 is available to help you optimise performance of your home coffee machine. It allows for flexibility, ensuring you find the ideal grind setting. The one machine that perfectly suits this grind is listed below.
  • Baby Gaggia

    SEMI-PRO ESPRESSO MACHINE (finer grind: 4.2)
    Includes machines for home or workplaces with greater functionality, such as a double boiler that has one boiler for brewing coffee and another for steaming milk. Examples include:
  • Ascaso Baby & Barista T Machines
  • Boema
  • Faema Faemina
  • Gaggia Milano
  • Nuova Simonelli Musica & Oscar
  • Rancilio Silvia

    REFILLABLE PODS (fine grind: 3.5)
    No matter the brand, or type of refillable capsules or pods you have, a fine grind works best.


    TURKISH (very fine grind: 2.0)
    Turkish coffee combines extra finely ground coffee with water, boiling it in a small pot. An extra-fine grind is essential because Turkish coffee is served unfiltered.


    Please note: while we try and grind to your specific settings, we cannot guarantee the grind setting will be exact for your set up.

    For all other orders there is a standard flat shipping rate of $9.95 Australia-wide.

  • All online orders are packed and dispatched from our Roastery in either Eagle Farm or Bowen Hills (Brisbane) QLD, Australia.
