Private is the blend that started it all. Known for its distinctive smooth and velvety texture, it’s a classic 100% Arabica coffee that manages to be both rich and incredibly easy to drink.
The secret to Private’s balance is its complexity. It is a carefully crafted six-bean blend sourced from three different continents. By roasting each origin to a perfect medium profile, we unlock sweet notes of caramel and hazelnut without any bitterness.
Like all our coffees, Private is roasted daily in Brisbane. Our Q-Graders test every batch to ensure that the "Private" taste our customers have loved for 30 years never changes.

While Private makes a beautiful flat white or latte, its clean finish also makes it one of our best coffees for plunger (French Press) or filter brewing at home. It’s a forgiving blend that tastes great however you choose to make it.
1. Is this stronger than the Espresso Blend?
It’s actually a bit smoother and "cleaner" than the Espresso Blend. If you find the Espresso too punchy, Private is usually the perfect alternative.
2. Can I get this ground for my plunger?
Yes. Simply select the "Plunger" grind option before adding to your subscription. We'll grind it fresh right before we ship it.
