Coffee Foundations Class

Learn the foundations of espresso coffee making, grinder and machine knowledge, how to dose, tamp and extract coffee.

We'll also cover how to texturise milk and pour the classic café coffee menu, as well as teach you how to maintain and clean a machine.

The class accommodates up to four participants and runs for 90-120 minutes, depending on group size. Held at our Merlo Training Centre in Fortitude Valley, it costs $150 per person.

DESCRIPTION

Coffee Foundations Class

Learn the foundations of espresso coffee making, grinder and machine knowledge, how to dose, tamp and extract coffee.

We'll also cover how to texturise milk and pour the classic café coffee menu, as well as teach you how to maintain and clean a machine.

Q: If I need to reschedule, is this possible?
A: All training sessions can be rescheduled, providing it is done within 48 hours of the training session starting. This can be done via the rescheduling link provided in the confirmation email.

Q: What if I need to cancel?
A: We require at least 48 hours' notice for a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session will not be refunded. For cancellations prior to the 48-hour cut-off, please email info@merlo.com.au or call 1800 637 567 to arrange a refund or to rebook another session at no additional cost.

Q: What happens if Merlo cancels a session?
A: If we need to cancel a session, attendees will be notified via email and will receive either a full refund or credit for a future session.

Q: Do I need to bring anything to the class?
A: No, all equipment, coffee, and materials are provided during the session.

Q: Is the class suitable for complete beginners?
A: Yes, the Coffee Foundations Class is designed for all skill levels and does not require prior experience.

Q: Can I book for a group larger than 4 people?
A: For groups larger than 4, please contact us directly to discuss custom options.

Q: Is parking available at the training centre?
A: Street parking is available nearby and there are a number of Secure Parking facilities in the area. We recommend allowing extra time to find a carpark in this area.

Q: Can I gift this class to someone?
A: Absolutely! You can purchase a Merlo e-gift card HERE, and the lucky recipient can book their prefererred class and date at a time that suits them. Gift cards are valid for a 12 month period.

Q: What if I’m running late for the session?
A: Please let us know as soon as possible. Late arrivals may reduce your training time, as sessions are scheduled back-to-back.
