Step into history with a design that remains the definitive blueprint for full-immersion manual brewing. Originally rooted in pre-war European developments, this quintessential Bodum Chambord French Press coffee maker was perfected through decades of heritage craftsmanship to deliver an exceptionally rich, full-bodied extraction. By omitting paper filters that absorb critical aromatic compounds, it delivers uncompromised flavour clarity, making it a sustainable and timeless choice for discerning coffee lovers.

Unrivalled Flavour Purity and Thermal Craftsmanship

The secret behind this brewer's legendary output lies in its premium material composition. The central carafe of the Bodum Chambord French Press is shaped from premium, thermal shock-resistant borosilicate glass, ensuring it maintains a steady internal temperature throughout the critical four-minute steeping window. Because this non-porous surface never absorbs oils or stains, it remains perfectly neutral, letting the authentic character of your fresh beans take absolute centre stage without any lingering flavour ghosting.

Definitive Protection: The robust outer safety cage and matching dome lid are constructed from durable stainless steel. This metal housing undergoes a sequence of meticulous chrome-plating treatments, producing a mirror-shiny exterior that resists flaking, rust, and dulling over decades of daily kitchen use.

Seamless Filtration: The heavy-duty manual steel plunger works alongside a closely knit mesh perimeter shield. As you press downward, the high-tolerance screen isolates spent grinds securely at the bottom of the beaker, allowing you to pour a beautifully dense, sediment-free liquid base with confidence.

Intuitive Manual Ritual and Workspace Utility

Operation remains beautifully straightforward, keeping complicated modern menus or electrical cords completely off your benchtop. Simply dose your coarsely ground coffee, add hot water (recommended between 92°C and 96°C), and close the spill-safe lid to seal in the rising steam. After four minutes of infusion, a slow plunge finishes the workflow. Fitted with a matte-textured polypropylene handle, the iconic Bodum Chambord Coffee Plunger offers an insulated grip that shields hands from hot glass surfaces while delivering satisfying tactile feedback for the serious coffee enthusiast.
