Every year, during the month of April, Merlo Coffee and The Sycamore School join forces to promote autism awareness and acceptance in the community through a special event called Superheros for Sycamore School Day.

On this remarkable day, the school comes alive with the enthusiastic support of Merlo, who generously donates $1 from every coffee sold. Merlo staff, along with the students and faculty of The Sycamore School, embrace the spirit of the occasion by dressing up as their favorite superheroes.

Through this celebration, they not only honor the invaluable contributions made by autistic individuals in our communities but also strive to foster greater understanding and acceptance of autism.

Impactful Fundraising Efforts

Over the past six years, Merlo's support has played a pivotal role in raising nearly $60,000, which has been instrumental in providing essential learning resources and programs for the young individuals attending The Sycamore School. This year, the event reached new heights by raising an astonishing $10,000!

The Sycamore School stands as an independent educational institution founded by dedicated Brisbane parents who, unable to find a suitable education option for their son, took matters into their own hands.
