Merlo Coffee are proud to announce we are sponsors of Food For Thought’s The Long Lunch charity event.
Food for Thought is a Brisbane-based group whose philosophy is to combine a love of great food, in the company of friends whilst supporting a worthy local cause within our community.
Since 2012 this group has raised funds for organisations such as the Alison Baden Clay foundation and “Dear Melanoma” – in memory of Emma Betts – for which they raised over $27,000.
This year’s event will be raising much-needed funds for Hummingbird House – Queensland’s only children’s hospice – to help them provide 24/7 care for children and their families affected by a life-limiting condition.
It is a place where kids can be kids, families can reconnect, and precious memories can be created.
On Friday 19 October, $1 from every coffee sold in a Merlo Coffee Torrefazione or espresso bar will be donated to Hummingbird House.
So be sure to visit and have a coffee for a cause!
The final fundraising cheque will be presented to Hummingbird House at The Long Lunch on Friday 26 October which will be held at Brisbane’s Stokehouse Restaurant. Merlo is very proud to be major sponsors of the 2018 luncheon.
