Coffee Appreciation

Inspire your senses with a Merlo Coffee Appreciation session. Learn how coffee is grown, sourced, blended and roasted. And why fresh roasted coffee makes all the difference. The sessions include:

  • A brief history of Merlo, coffee and roasting
  • Coffee tasting of different brew methods such as AeroPress, Chemex and plunger
  • Light breakfast and a takeaway coffee
  • A goodie bag including a 200g tin of Espresso blend.

Sessions require 4 people minimum, start at 7:30am and run for one hour at a cost of $30 per person. Bookings essential.

Coffee Cupping

Every Thursday morning at our Bowen Hills Torrefazione, our coffee quality team get together to conduct a cupping.

Cupping in the coffee world is similar to a wine tasting. It is a globally recognised, industry-wide process where coffees are critically evaluated to identify specific flavours, qualities and pick out any faults.

This process allows us to maintain the quality and consistency of our coffee, as well as provides an opportunity to review new single origins for our Bean of the Month program.
