Every Thursday morning at our Bowen Hills Torrefazione, our coffee quality team get together to conduct a cupping.
Cupping in the coffee world is similar to a wine tasting. It is a globally recognised, industry-wide process where coffees are critically evaluated to identify specific flavours, qualities and pick out any faults.
This process allows us to maintain the quality and consistency of our coffee, as well as provides an opportunity to review new single origins for our Bean of the Month program.
If you would like to know more about this process, we’d love to have you along to our next public cupping. You can read more about the art of cupping in our blog.
All you have to do is sign up as a Friend of Merlo and drop us a line to register your interest, then we will keep you updated on our next public session.
