It feels a little lonely in here.

Let's change that.

Bean of the Month - El Salvador El Molinito

Grown at altitude along the Apaneca-Ilamatepec range, El Molinito features nutty caramel aromatics with chestnut, rosehip and cocoa flavours, a creamy body balanced with apple acidity, finishing with a lingering chocolate and hazelnut sweetness.

JASAL is a family owned business with more than 100 years’ experience in cultivating, processing and exporting some of El Salvador’s finest coffees.

Their main activities are concentrated in the Apaneca-Ilamatepec region. Their coffees are 100% shade grown and estates have ideal environmental factors for cultivation of Arabica coffees such as altitude, temperature, adequate rain fall, humidity, and ideal volcanic soils.

This coffee was grown at the “El Molina de Santa Rita” estate in the Ahuachapán department, in western El Salvador.

It is processed at the “Las Cruces” mill, which is thought to be one of the oldest processing centres in El Salvador, dating back over 100 years. The mill has recently been renovated enabling capacity to process washed, semi-washed and natural coffees, also adding African raised beds for drying, along with patios and mechanical driers.
