Why is fresh coffee best? It's all about flavour - serving the best cup of coffee to your customer, so that they return to enjoy it again and again. At merlocoffee, ensuring that our fresh espresso is fresh is paramount. Everything we do from roasting through to delivery ensures that we keep true to our promise of freshness.

Daily Roasting - coffee is roasted daily to guarantee freshness.

  • Date Roasted - every bag of merlocoffee is date stamped so that you can see what day your merlocoffee was roasted.
  • Dehumidified cold room to protect the freshly roasted coffee from its enemies: light, heat and moisture. Once the roasted beans are cooled, they are stored in our purpose built dehumidified cold room ? which we believe is the only one of its kind.
  • Air Locked resealable bags - our bags have a one-way valve that allows the CO 2 gas that occurs naturally after the beans are roasted to escape, while keeping out moisture and oxygen.
