Coffee Appreciations are a one-hour session designed to introduce you to the joy of premium fresh espresso! All five torrefaziones hold their Coffee Appreciation sessions once a month:

Bowen Hills Torrefazione Coffee Appreciation is on the first Wednesday of every month, from 7.30am. For bookings call 07 3620 4200.

Fortitude Valley Torrefazione Coffee Appreciation is on the first Friday of every month, from 7.30am. For bookings call 07 3257 0465.

Southport Torrefazione Coffee Appreciation is on the first Tuesday of every month, from 9am. For bookings call 07 5561 1588.

Springfield Torrefazione Coffee Appreciation is on the third Thursday of every month, from 5pm. For bookings call 07 3470 0215.

Paddington Torrefazione Coffee Appreciation is on the first Monday of every month, from 7.30am. For bookings call 07 3368 2099.

You can also make a private booking for groups of up to 18 guests (minimum 5 people).

The one hour session includes:


  • a light continental breakfast, brunch or afternoon tea
  • a tour of the roasting facility
  • a short history of coffee
  • a sample of two origin beans, and a Merlo Coffee blend
  • expert advice on making the best coffee at home; and
  • a goodie bag!

See our premium coffee beans roasted right in front of your eyes and check out our dehumidified cold-room; the only one of its type in Australia.

Taste a freshly ground Merlo coffee fresh espresso straight from the roaster and made by our expert and friendly staff.

Purchase a tin or bag of each of our Merlo blends; Espresso, Arriba Arriba, Riviera, Private blend, Merlo Decaf or one of our Origin beans blends.

Min $30 and 6 people @ $5 / head. Maximum 20 people.
